Fast Track System for Local Businesses?
The Federation of Small Businesses, as reported by the Planning Portal, has argued that small businesses should be allowed to fast-track their planning applications to reduce the delays their currently experience. The report criticises the current planning system stating that small firms have to go through a long and costly process which can put them off expanding their business. Future Neighbourhood Plans will likely present an avenue for streamlining the process, although it remains to be seen how streamlined a process the formulation of Neighbourhood Plans will be.
That is for the future. In the meantime, Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy can provide timely, professional planning advice and assistance to local businesses and residents to help ensure that their planning applications have the best possible chance of success. We can advise at pre-application stage, all the way through to commencing on site, including the preparation of Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements to accompany your application. If you have had planning permission refused, then Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy can advise you on the options available to you, including appeals against the Council’s decision.
