Barn Conversion in Peak District National Park approved
Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy Ltd. has recently secured planning permission for the conversion of a stone and tile former agricultural building within the Peak District National Park to open market residential use. During initial pre-application discussions the Peak Park indicated that they would be resistant to the proposal on account of visual impact / harm to the character of the Peak Park. The decision was nevertheless taken to submit an application, and in doing so a robust Planning Statement and Heritage Statement was submitted along with a visual impact analysis document. These documents persuaded the Peak District National Park that the scheme was acceptable and would not adversely affect the character of the Peak Park, and as a consequence full planning permission was granted.
