Planning permission granted for expansion of industrial site into the Green Belt
Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy Ltd. has recently secured planning permission for the expansion of an existing industrial premises within the Staffordshire Moorlands. The site was located within the Green Belt and the proposal had met strong with resistance from the planning officer who had concluded that the proposal was inappropriate development and that very special circumstances had not been demonstrated.
Submissions made by us to the Planning Application Committee nevertheless served to demonstrate to the Committee Members that very special circumstances did indeed exist to justify approval of the development. The application was then unanimously approved, contrary to the recommendation of the Planning Officer.
